MAHLE Technological Center South America

Heading for a widening of its activities in Brazil, MAHLE decided to build a new Technological Center. Strategically located between two of the most important highways in São Paulo, the new Center is presently under construction in the environmentally protected area of the Serra do Japi, observing all precautions for the preservation of the environment, strictly according to MAHLE’s Environmental Policy.

The new Technological Center proposes to develop integrated solutions for the technological challenges of its clients. To achieve this, there will be Laboratories which will permit tests and which will develop projects for all the lines of MAHLE products (PL1, PL2, PL3, PL4, and PL5). Furthermore, this Center will have the worldwide responsibility for the technological development of products, materials and processes for the so called PL2, which today already coordinates the corresponding actions in all other Technological Centers of the MAHLE Group, in the whole world.

New in Jundiai will also be the MAHLE Powertrain Brazil Laboratories, which already started its local activities in 2006 and which is active in sales of Engineering Services in the areas of Gaging of Engines and Vehicles, Emissions, Numerical Simulations, Test Systems, Noises and Vibrations. There will be Gaseous Emissions Laboratories for light and heavy engines (Otto and Diesel), plus a semi-anechoic climatised chamber for NVH analyses.

This Center will have approximately 240 collaborators, including researchers, engineers and technicians, which will act in the areas of Research and Development, Sales and Engineering Services.
